Erica & Mas

When I asked Erica the morning of the wedding what her flowers were, she laughed and told me that they were whatever was at Harris Teater the night before, arranged however her niece had arranged them.

But when I asked about the food, special things they had planned for their guests, and all the fun little elements of her and Mas that she had incorporated into the wedding — from the Mount Vernon venue to the old books from their collection to the poems in the program and the English country dancing¬† — she had a whole lot to say.

That says more about this couple than anything else. Their’s was a day where they thought about everyone else, and yet I have never seen ¬†any couple enjoy their own wedding more.

Hannah, lovely photos! Was the wedding at Mount Vernon?

    • Hannah says:

Yes! You can rent out different sections of the Mount Vernon Inn to accommodate however many guests you have. They used just the back porch section, as well as the sunken garden for the ceremony and dancing. So lovely!

What kind of camera/lens do you have?

I got my flowers the day before at Kroger, too…and had all sorts of plans for those little things that fell through, in the end. But we still had a blast and other people told us it was a ton of fun, too, because it ended up being the people we were with who made the day incredible. :)
